Kaleidoscope-Tamil: Welcome to this blog!!! Project Kaleidoscope is a project run by Prof. V. Srinivasa Chakravarthy, Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai. The aim of this project is to promote science in local languages that can help the downtrodden to understand the nature and the environment. This will help them to eradicate superstitions and to think rationally. So we started translating famous science books in local languages (Telugu, Tamil and Kannada) using volunteers. We distributed them in city libraries and schools. This helps both the school children and the poor to better under science. Tamil books that have been translated so far are 18 books of Asimov series. Telugu books include science novels as well found in this website. However, we also planned to translate other sci-fi novels and comics to help vernacular people learn science in a fun way. If you are interested in translating or reviewing them, you are welcome.
